Hospitality Task Forcing
A very specific niche of Accommodating By Nature is providing Task Force services for independent hotels.
Thirty-nine years of hotel operations, sales and marketing experience management experience at the departmental manager and director level has provided me with the experience and confidence to step in to your vacant sales or operations position and, with a minimum of “training” offer a continuum of tasks. This provides you with the opportunity to do a thorough search for just the right permanent candidate, or to get you through those necessary, unavoidable leave of absences of your key employees. I have done task forcing as follows:
December 2010-January 2011 – Director of Sales at the Doubletree By Hilton Modesto (Westmont Hospitality) dropping in and overseeing a sales, catering and convention services staff going into their holiday party season and who had been without a Director for over a year while the search for a permanent, local candidate was under way. Immediate concerns were providing structure and guidance by reviewing and revising sales strategies, building department morale and initiative by engaging and supporting the sales staff, reviewing and improving sales/catering forecasts, and with the interim General Manager developing and implementing a 2011 budget within 30 days.
July – August, 2018 – Director of Catering at the Crowne Plaza Hotel Sacramento Northeast (Khanna Enterprises II LP) for 2 months while Director was on medical leave. Drop in and assume responsibility for all catering sales functions including solicitation, sales, contracting, detailing of all meeting space; weekly pace and forecast reporting; weekly BEO and executive staff meetings.
Being semi-retired, I am available to travel and be away from “home” for extended periods of time.
